Sunderland boss Roy Keane wants the club to lift their sights beyond the Northeast.
“Being top dog – finishing above Newcastle and Middlesbrough – is not my No 1 priority,” he said.

“We can’t be so small-minded as to think that our priority is to finish above those two teams, because it is not.
“What if they finish bottom and next to bottom and we finish third-bottom? We are the top team in the North East but all three of us have got relegated – what’s to celebrate about that?
“We have to think bigger than that.”
He added: “Over the years Newcastle and Middlesbrough have done very, very well and you can’t knock them for that.
“If we finish ninth or tenth and they are above us, so be it.
“My main priority is making Sunderland as good and as strong as we can be.”
